The last 3 or so years of Marjorie’s life were spent in Gracewell and then Abbey Rose Care Home in Birmingham.  

To begin with her main joy in life was reading, however, in the last 18 months her eyesight was failing her and even that joy was denied her in the end.

Whilst her mind was still active and we had several interesting conversations during lockdown, she was very glad when Trump lost the election, the isolation and her frailty finally took their toll and, despite assuring us she was fine, ready to live to 102, she quietly and suddenly died.  As in life no fuss, no bother, just gone as if she had just left the room and closed the door after her.
